Illinois shotgun permit draw
 

Does anyone know when they start drawing permits for the non resident shotgun permits i know the deadline was aug 13?

hey Terry. ive been shooting my bow a bit too. we just got back from michigan, we went jeepin with some friend up by travers city. time to switch gears (into hunting gear). i gotta get my stuff out and wash it

I checked the DNR website yesterday. The permit checking portion showed my dad's information, but no results. They may have drawn already, but have posted nothing. Or, they may be drawing this week. You can continue to check the "Permit Inquiry System" on the website. If you see all 0000's in several of the fields, then nothing has been posted. If you try to access the inquiry system, and it is down, it typically means they have taken it down to post results. I just keep checking every day until it is back up. You should be able to find out something before too long at all. Good luck.

I just checked again for my dad a few minutes ago. Permit status is "pending" which tells me they still have not posted results. They may have drawn, or are in the process of drawing, but nothing posted yet. Good luck.

A friend of mine says his check was cashed. I wonder if that means he got his or do they cash all checks and refund if you dont draw?

BT, they do cash all checks and if you don't get drawn you'll get a state check back as refund.

Bill, "pending" I believe that a permit will be issued, the actual permit # is what is "pending".

Well, gentlemen, I just checked DNR website, and the link to check permits is "temporarily unavailable". I believe they are posting the results of the second lottery now. They had the second lottery and the youth hunt due at the same time, so they may have plenty to post. I'll keep checking and let you know when it is back up. Bill
