Newton Illinois Hunting

I am going on a guided bowhunt in Newton the week of the 24th. Anyone hunt in Newton? I hear all this hype about Pike county but what about Jasper county?

Jasper County does not have a large annual kill compared to Pike County or nothing near the deer population, but in concentrated areas their are lots of deer. I take it you will be hunting on the fairly new outfitting operation that opened up a few seasons ago? If you pass through Effingham, stop by Draves Archery to see a couple of monster bucks taken in Jasper County. By the way.....I am in the county just east of Jasper, Crawford county. Good luck and good hunting.

Thanks for the input Cougar Mag.

I will stop by and see those monsters. I am hunting with Ryan Michl at Ill. Wildlife Connections. He and his dad used to own Turkey Creek Lodge. I dont know anything about them because it was a last minute change. I was supposed to be in Kansas but my wife had our baby earlier than expected.

Ryan assured me that nobody will be hunting on his land with guns but I am afraid they will all be boogered by the 24th anyway. It looks like the weather maybe good though.
