Trail Cam pix
For those of you that don' t read the Bownhunting Forum.
I' m 99% sure this the same deer, but I have been wrong before. One was taken 11-04-03 and the other was taken 11-09-03. Hopefully this weekend one of us will get him on the ground and we' ll get some better pix. :D ![]() ![]() |

RE: Trail Cam pix
All bucks move in daylight during the rut. :D
Those pix were taken prolly 1/4 mile apart, 5 days apart. As of last Sunday morning that buck was still alive. Buddy of mine had him walk by at 35 yards but couldn' t get a shot. Friday is the slug opener so hopefully he' s got a safe place to hide or his head' s gonna end up on someone' s wall! |

RE: Trail Cam pix
This deer was taken on opening morning of the shotgun season by the guys who hunt the property next to us. :(
The 190-200" class buck we' d seen a few times was taken on Saturday morning by the guys on the other neighboring property. :( I hope there' s still a few left for late season. |

RE: Trail Cam pix
So would I.
I haven' t gotten the pix on my other trail cam developed yet, but I' m hoping I' ve got him on there at least. The guy who shot him packed the deer up in his truck and took off before anyone could get a good look at it or take any pictures. I' m hoping to run into him during the late season and at least get to see some photos. The deer was seen 3 different times on the property we hunt during the rut. Once within 25 yards of my buddy but he didn' t have any clear shot opportunities. Everyone thinks I was exaggerating, but this thing had close to a 30" spread and every bit of 18-20" G2' s. It was a typical 5 x 5 as far as we could tell. Who knows, maybe it' ll pop up in a magazine in the next few months. Deer that big usually don' t go unnoticed when they' re harvested. |
