I know of meat cutters refusing deer. They have too many!

Someone ought to kick that bill creator in the butt or at least go thru his deer camp!

Boca, here in WI, we can now shoot a deer. But DO NOT have to hang a tag on it. We instead have to register it either online or by phone, before 5pm the following day.
But again, we DO NOT have to hang a tag on the carcass.
This is in conjunction with the new licensing system. That you can now purchase them online, from your own home and print the license off at your convenience from your own home printer using regular paper.

I see. IMO dishonest people will be dishonest. And honest people will be honest.

I don't think too many people turn into poachers since they no longer have a physical tag. And the people that are poaching were poaching before as well....

HOWEVER, I do think less are reported on an online/call in system... So not necesarilly people shooting more deer or shooting more than the legal limit, but people not reporting what they do shoot...

We still get a physical tag.
We just don't have to put it on. Nor do we actually have to carry it with us, if we are allowed to use our drivers license or a $3 card we can carry in our wallets. That DNR officers can scan like a credit card to see if we have purchased our license.

We also don't have to go to a physical registration station anymore. Not that there are many of those around anymore either.
Not many places sell licenses anymore either, except Wal-Mart, and a few die hard retailers.

SO yes, more deer MAY go unreported then have in the past. But you're correct, poachers will still poach and those who do it the right way will still do that too.
