New here and to hunting
 

Just wanted to say hello. I'm new to hunting and don't know where to begin. Any advice would be appreciated.

suggest that you take the Illinois Hunter Safety Education class. It is a very good idea and will be required of you at some point.

Not sure we know he is from Illinois ?? We need way more info ? like what you would like to hunt ? where you live? Age ? have you ever shot guns /bow ? And as Uncle Matt said a hunter ed class would be your first step.
