2014 United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival

Please come join us at the 2014 United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival the weekend of February 7th-9th. This year the event will be held at the Country Club Hotel and Spa in Lake Ozark, MO. There will be lots of things going on including seminars, lie swapping and goody auctions. Our banquet speaker this year is none other than outdoor author and co-editor of Traditional Bowhunter magazine, Don Thomas.

This event is open to the public and is for bowhunting enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes. For event registration information, please follow this link: Registration Info and Schedule of Events

Featured in our Saturday evening live auction are two nice bear hunts. These went for a song last year so you might want to attend just to see if you can be the lucky winner. Another fun hunt to be auctioned off is a bowfishing trip on the Mississippi River guided by Robin Parks of Aim Low Productions.

As always, we will have a Black Widow bow to raffle off. This bow will be custom made for the lucky winner and you need not be present to win.
To download some Black Widow bow raffle tickets, please follow this link: Black Widow Bow Raffle Tickets

If you have any questions, or would like to be a vendor at this event, don’t hesitate to give me a holler!

Archery Hall of Fame Will Be There!

Talked with the curator of the Archery Hall of Fame last Friday and they are going to have a display at our Festival. This will be a good chance for folks to get a "taste" of what this museum has to offer the public.

For those of you who don't know, The AHOF is located in our fair state at Bass Pro Shop's Outdoor World in Springfield, MO. For more info, go to Archery Hall of Fame

Missouri archery trivia:

1) The inventor of the compound bow, Holless Wilbur Allen, was a Missourian.
2) Neet Archery Products is located in Sedalia, MO and Black Widow Bows is in Nixa, MO. Both are leaders in the industry.
3) Earl and Ann Hoyt (modern archery pioneers) were Missourians.
4) Innovative and influential bowyer, Jerry Pierce, was also a Missourian. The Jerry Pierce Memorial Shoot in MS raises thousands of dollars each year for the Catch a Dream Foundation.
