Pheasant/sharptails/huns in ND

We are planning a hunt for late Oct. around the Lamoure area. Any ideas on what to expect. Are landowners receptive to allowing hunters? Are there birds or will we just watch the dogs run and enjoy the countryside?

Pheasants outlook is really good. i don' t hunt the others, so i don' t pay much attention to them. Most landowners you talk to will allow you to hunt, they usually just post land for deer season, and they like to know who is on their land. As for clothing plan for just about anything, from rain to snow, cold to warm.
