Any Gobbling Yet?
 

Was wondering if anyone was hearing any gobbling yet? I'm particularly interested in northern Illinois, but am also wondering whether anyone's hearing it anywhere.

I haven't heard any gobbling but I believe I saw a Tom strutting the other day.

Heard a few gobbles this morning and then around
1:30pm today there was a bunch of gobbling for
about ten minutes. A few minutes latter I saw 4
tom's and 2 hens in my field. That's in Maine on
4-6 inches of snow. Our birds are tough! Smile!!

Heard a good amount on my coyote hunts last Friday and today.

My boys and I are going on the youth season for the northern zone this weekend in Il will be finding out soon.

Didnt hear any gobbling but I thought I heard some hens out near Starved Rock when I was hiking there last week.

I made it out during the snow storm a week ago Sunday and no surprise -- didn't hear anything. I forgot the youth hunt was this weekend, good luck and let us know how it goes out there.
