EAB has been greatly reduced. There were still EAB zones last year.

As far as whether or not the state deer herd was out of control or not, well, just look at accident records. Wisconsin was the #2 state in overall deer to vehicle collisions. Second to Texas...

Look at a map, and you'll see the slight size difference between the states. Don't forget to look at the overall population figures either.

Right or wrong, there was a major problem with the deer herd growing out of control. It's too bad the DNR could not have come up with a different solution is all.
