Carroll county illinios
Checked the stands today.
Plenty of rubs and scrapes every where
this is the home of monstor bucks and sees only moderate hunting pressure.
In the last 20 years we have filled all our tags with mature deer. Including 3 bucks scoring over 170, 3 over 160 and at least a dozen above 150.
We really work on all hunters on the bluff to pass on the small guys and it works.
Anyone esle hunting gods countrys

I have a small semi-guided outfitting service in Brown County, with farms in Pike County as well. Not out this year cause of health issues with my father in law, my partner is out there with a few clients seen some really nice deer, with one monster, but things are slow

Big deer County
Pike and Jo Davies get all the attention.
Little Carroll is a real gem.
Great hunting land can be purchased at just over $5k and acre and your only 80 miles from the western suburbs of Chicago.
No outfitters also and little hunting pressure.

My nieghbor just a mile from me on the bluff just called me that a B & C deer was also taken on his farm. It must be really huge. Game warden told him it was the biggest deer taken in the last 40 years in Carroll.
Passing on small bucks and great genetics sure makes a big differance.

2 more deer in the freezer
Son and his friend out friday took 2 nice does with their bows. Not planning to go out for second season unless a close friend who did not shot a deer wants to go out and i will guide him.
That makes 3 10 points, a six point, and 4 mature does.
Thank god for carroll county.
