Michigan U.P. Hunters?

Just curious how many "Yoopers" we have on the board?

I hunt the lower part of Menominee County (Birch Creek Area), it appears we may have a slightly increased herd this year.

We have been seeing more does than last year on the camera's. I have been hearing of some good bucks being spotted, but only one "Shooter" on my camera so far.

I just moved my camera out by my rifle blind this weekend, so hopefully get some pictures to get excited about.

3 WEEKS FROM TODAY IS RIFLE SEASON:)

I'm just north of you in Norway. The deer herd here is pathetic. I usually have at least a few 8 pointers on camera. This year I have almost nothing but a few does and I have 4 cameras out in various spots since august. The damn wolves are taking their toll.

Talked to my brother this morning, our camp is near amasa, and the herd is looking decent, much more buck sign than in years past. They did come upon a wolf kill yesterday while bird hunting, little spike horn. Over this past winter, we've never seen so many wolf tracks, seemingly daily there would be new ones, big, small, and in between. Not sure how many are around, but they are no doubt taking their toll in some areas. I see a wolf season on the horizon, at least the discussion of one, but getting it passed is going to be tough. Hell, we can't even hunt doves!

Lots of yoopers are already hunting wolves. Shoot, Shovel and Shut Up.
