ed, this gun is a pump, never liked pump action, because a rattle shake, in the
action, picket one up at gander moutain store yesterday, and it rattles, so I answered my own question I guess, so that guns out[]

Well so much for " high end high quality" . I can' t stand a gun that " rattles" . My Mossberg 500 does that rattle thing too. Missed opportunities at a couple of fine animals over the years cause of that " rattle" from the pump. 500 is 100% mechanically sound but that rattle!

I use an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter single shot.....now there is silence.

I don' t think a Remington 870 has ever done anyone wrong. Has it? Very affordable and there' s not a shotgun made that has more accessories available for it.

ya, uncle matt, i agree with you, i personaly only use auto deer slug guns, but
thouht this benelli at an affordable price might be diferant, not the case, it rattles,
and at the moment of truth, i cant tolerate that, for deer or turkey, i have alot
of clients that use the 835 for spring gobblers, and when i carry there gun out of the woods, while they might be carrying a bird or for what ever reason, that 835
is a gun that i wouldn' t touch with a 10 foot pole[] but guys that own them sware
on them, i guess it' s like when you buy a lemon, you just dont want to admit it
but your right on the old standby 870, proven gun, very reliable, and very
limited rattle, compared to the others mentioned, sombody will respond to this and say, i love my 835, great gun ,,, yata, yata, yata, ya right,[]

dvd, that is somthing that i have been concidering, do you guys have a gander mountain store in roches, went to the new one in buff, the other day, couldn' t
leave the place, but did look at a bunch of them, and i really like the concept,
but a little worried about a follow up shot, since nothing comes easy for me, and
could just picture myself working that bolt, while that buck of a lifetime is making
fast tracks over to your tree stand

Norsemen, yes we do have a gander mountain here in rochester.I would not worry about the follow up shot, most likely your first will be where you want and if not the bolt can be worked very efficiently.I think the bolt helps on a follow up shot because it forces you to set and aim rather than fling lead (semi or pump).
