I got a doe on the second day of EAS. Opener got poured on went back on Fri knowing the deer would be moving. 6 different 1.5 year old bucks ambled by. Took the doe in the afternoon around 3:30. Best day of deer hunting I had in a while.

I missed one doe but I seen a lot of bucks. Way more buck sightings than doe sightings, but that's how it usually is for early season. Weather looks good for opener though.

I had tons of activity (175-200 pics every 2 weeks) on my cameras all summer long until late September, now I am only getting 4 or so. Hoping to get some good time in the stand this weekend.

I shot an 8pt on the 11th. I was out Friday morning and had 3 bucks (spike, 5pt and 8pt) chasing a couple does around for 2 hours. Bucks were grunting up a storm, but no big boys making an appearance. I would say somethime this week the big boys will be tailing the does in my area, or atleast I hope.
