I grew up about 20 miles north of West Point. Whitetails (and maybe some turkey now) are all the big game you are going to find. I don' t know about the fees, you can go to the game and parks website www.ngpc.state.ne.us. I suggest your brother take up pheasant hunting.

I grew up in West Point and own some land outside of town that I hunt on. There are alot of deer in the area and there are alot of turkeys along the river. There isn' t much public hunting in the area and what there is if over crowded during the season.
