The old CVA .50 Smoke Pole always puts them down!
 

Some use shot guns, I say one shot, one kill. We took two does and a nice 11 point today and they all had some severe wounds from some careless shotgun hunters. These deer probably would have not made it threw the winter because of the severity of the wounds. The one doe had a 4" by 2" gash on her spine from a slug,
the other doe had her entire left rear quarter full of buck shot and the buck had two 12ga. slugs in his left rear leg. Moral of the story don't shoot it if you are not sure of your shot.
