sounds good to me. it will be nice to get some rut hunts in before the hell known as gun hunting. I talked with a few real nice bow hunters at the sign in spot last year. Seems when gun season hit it was all drunks and pot heads. Though not all. It was the first time i felt unsafe in the woods. And once i left because when heading in a had two women stop and B**ch because i was where i was. They smelled like pot real bad.One of them end up just behind me about 100 yards away. About a hour into daylight. I hear a shot and a bullet goes wack right by my blind. I got out and saw a broken tree branch abour 4 inchs across broken. The limb was right behind my head. If it was not for that branch i would properly be dead. I left and that was my last second to last hunt last season.

My cousins son said he saw a young 8pt gruntting last weekend and chasing a doe. I've heard some reports of a little bit of rut activity but nothing major.
