Leiding's Meats and Catering Danville, IL. I have used these people for the past few years and they are a family business and are super nice people.

River Bend wild game processing in Homer, IL. Best I have ever had, and I have been to about 10 in the area

Do not use Connelly Locker in Martinsville,, terrible!

If anyone should refer you to this place, do not use it... I bought a cow and had him butcher it and that's what he did butchered it.. The filets were cut in strips as small as my finger (width and length) and bone fragments in all my other packaged steaks.. Just terrible!!!!

Chuck does great work but he's slow. The last deer I took to him I got back in April. Like I said.....top notch product but don't be in a hurry.

I used Hienkel's in Decatur last year. They had a 2 week turn around and make evrything from brats, jerky sticks, add cheese and jalapeno peppers if you want to their sausage. Very good products. Phone #217-428-4401

None of the above...I take the drive to Palestine to Storks....2-3 week turnaround, you get your entire deer.

The place in Homer is a total joke.

Jones Meat and Locker Service in Jacksonville does a good job.

Anybody use a private party in Barry, Il to cut their deer? Wondering if was a good or bad experience.

Any others in the Champaign/Urbana area? Mainly looking for fresh cut and burger for most.

Flatland Hunter 11-10-2009 02:16 AM

Anybody within 30 miles of champ/Urbana besides riverbend? Looking for less than $80 to process.

There is a guy doing it in Mahomet , I used to work with him he is not a big time processor but he will cut and package it for you. He does about 60-80 per year. I am not sure what he charges but I will find out.

bruzer 11-10-2009 08:37 AM

Theres Allen Meat Locker by Homer. Its 80 bucks for processing fee, does gounding and meat cuts. I typically use River bend, for who said they are a joke, dont know when you took your deer in, but I took mine in 2 weeks ago and picking up my meat tonight. Leidings in Danville is a joke though, dropped off a deer last year in January didnt get it back till May, not going there again.

I have used Turaskys as well. They are about the cheapest around for making sausage and stuff.
