OHIO Question: Belmont and Monroe Counties

A buddy of mine wants me to go to Ohio with him to hunt Belmont and Monroe counties November 7th-11th. Can anyone tell me anything about the deer hunting, trophy potential, topography, etc., in these counties? Is it worth the trip?

lots of deer and good bucks, those counties are at the top the list as far as harvest numbers go. its hill country so bring ur good boots. i dont know what kind of public land thats out there but you can try checkin out ohio division of wildlife, just type it in and you should find out what ur looking for

Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna' go. And as far as is being hill country...It CAN'T be anymore "hilly" than here in good 'ol western Maryland!

I never hunted W. Maryland but believe me it is on the WV border and hilly. If you have to enter the property from the bottom it will be hard to control your odor. Good luck with your hunt because if your hunting property that is tough to access there will be some Booners there.
