Saw some fresh rubs, 3 Does, 5 Turkeys, a slew of Chipmunks and a Dumptruck load of Squirrels yesterday. No shots offered on the Deer or Turkeys. The Corn harvest is well underway and the beans are several weeks away here in the Macoupin/Jersey County area. I have yet to see any Bucks while hunting, but this cool weather should get them moving. Looks like I could still have standing Soybeans where i gun hunt. That could prove to be good news! :party0007:

I was out on Sat.& Sun. Public land. Seen A doe and a large 2 1/2yr old 8 pt. Sat. evening but couldn't get either one closer than 45 yds. (that's too far for me). Shot this doe 4:30 Sun. evening....

Congrats on the Doe. Some people just don't know what HUNTING is & those are the ones that never know how to keep things proper. Looks like you did a number on her for sure.. Good Luck on the Buck now.

Anyone seeing any movement in Knox/Warren county areas around Galesburg? My dad was out at the property this week and said that he didnt see any deer. He wasnt out hunting or anything just hanging out. He did say that he saw some big rubs along a tree line.
