I got a friend that lives in Perry, MO around Mark Twain Lake and his wife swears she saw one in their drive on night last summer when she was coming home from shopping!

Yup, here are the pics.
Here is a story I got from a guy at MSHP I work with who knows people that have deer camp around Mark Twain Lake. Last year a guy in his deer camp killed a mountain lion and found it had a a MO Conservation tag on it. He called the conservation and they said he was crazy. 30minutes later 2 agents showed up to their deer camp and said "Where is the cat" , took it and drove off. Sounds like they been doing some trading with other states but don't want the residents to know about it. ![]() |

ORIGINAL: bolton22 Funny cause those same photo's first showed up on these forums only they were from WI....Now they are from MO.... I love photo's on the net....They can come from any place in the world! I was emailed them from a family friend who has a relative that lives near Mark Twain and his boss was SUPOSEDLY the owner of the land and cam that caught them. I had never saw them before and I can make out that they are from Oct 08 so they aren't that old. I'll see what more they can tell me but it sounds like it's a bogus story now. |
RE: Mountain Lions in Missouri
I've had the same pics emailed to me twice and supposedly they came from Nebraska, a different place each time.
They actually came from South Dakota. We have a lot of them out here in the Hills. There are cats in Missouri. A cast of hunters treed one near Filmore at a night hunt I was in while in High School. That was is the late 80's. |

THIS IS WHY I DON’T LIKE TO HUNT UNTIL AFTER THE SUN IS UP!! YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT’S OUT THERE!! Keep in mind they have been spotted within 30 minutes of Quincy, on the MO side.
