My understanding is that there have been numerous confirmed reports in Missouri in recent years, which makes sense given the many, many confirmed reports in Iowa to the north and the several confirmed reports in Illinois to the east.

i helped the local fire department for a while here in nw mo and we where called out last summer to help in a search for one that had been hit by a car by an elderly woman.was also told to bring a rifle for protection. we followed blood for what seemed like 5 miles and lost it. heard the next morning it was found by a state trooper 3 miles from where it was hit.

Not this photo again! Soon it will be easier to name the states that this photo has claimed not to be taken in. I believe Missouri is now the 17th state that this was taken in!

If you think you don't have a fw transient visitors, you are kidding yourself. The young males can range 100's of miles. I don't know that you have a breeding population, but at any given time, there have got to be 10-12 cats in NoMo and probably several in the mountains to the south as well.
I was hunting in eastern Neb 3 years ago and saw a big tom stalking some deer. I got pictures of his tracks in the snow somewhere.
I have never seen one down here, but I've seen pictures and one was recently caught on a trail cam about 30 miles from here. Made the state news.
