Didn't see much action this year in northern IL! Hows it going for everybody?

we have 3000 acres in Brown County, I saw lots of rutting going on from the first week of bow thru the gun season

We hunt Jodavies and the action was very slow, lots of corn still up and not helpingany...

Same here not much was happening through gun season but did start to see some chasing on saturday evening. I think the rut is a little late this year and all the corn still in the fields didnt help much

It was really slow in Jefferson Co until the weekend before gun season. I hunted the 14th thru the 17th and had some of the hottest rut action in my life. I hunted Crawford Co during the first gun season and see decent rut action there.

They were chasin in Saline County. Every buck I saw was searching or was on the tail of the doe. Opening morning was crazy, after that it gradually slowed down.

Not seeing much of a rut in Kankakee. It's been slow and hard hunting for me.

I saw minimal activity in Kane County prior to heading to Brown. I was in Brown the 5th-10th and the Bucks were making rub lines while we were there and a few scrapes but never had any full blown chases going on. Since being back in Kane I had two days, the 11th and 13th that I saw some small bucks running does, other than that it has been real minimal.

I hunt Carroll County and it was about the same as most everyone said. Maybe it is just late this year???

This was by FAR the worst "rut" I've ever experienced. The full moon and tons of standing corn had alot to do with it. The full moon theory is the most over hyped, unproven, alot to do about nothing....I hate it. I will just sit next years full moon in Nov. out.

I hunt Fulton County, and it was a tough shotgun season. I never saw a single deer. My brother took a doe on that Sunday morning. It was running with a yearling, but that was all. They dropped our corn the Monday and Tuesday prior to the start of shotgun. My boss and another friend of mine hunt in Victoria and Mason County.......they never saw a single deer either. I arrowed a small 6pointer on Nov 15th, and he wasn't swollen or stinkin.........???????

Hamilton county is still rocking, I just got home and the 1 1/2 year olds are chasing everything down there, we had a close call with a 140 and a 160 I hope make it till next year now.. Good boys should be good this weekend.. Walt
