Coming to Ohio for the first time....

Hi everyone,
I was fortunate to fill my NY tag early this year and, after toying with it for a couple years, I've decided that this year is as good a time as ever to try Ohio.
I've done research on the public lands on and off, but am hoping that I can strike up some private land to hunt or, better yet, someone to hunt with.
I'm planning on coming out Nov. 7 and probably coming back on Nov. 11 so I can help my dad get one here in Chautauqua County, NY.
My plan was to spend a half day or so asking permission somwhere between Ashtabula County and Coshocton County :eek:LOL If that doesn't go well, I was planning to hit some public land.

If, by any chance, anybody would like a hunting partner for a couple days (I don't really care where), I'd be very much appreciative. I'm 32 and basically a grown up kid haha :D
Respond on here or to [email protected] As the name implies, I'm a forester and will throw in a free woodlot consultation lol :)

You picked a good state. I love my hunting state of Ohio. Go to Tuscarawas, it's the best.

Here is one that was hit by a car last year near shawnee forest between Scioto and adams counties. From the top of the G2 to the bottom of the droptine is 25 inches.
