Illinois early goose

Going for goose first thing monday morning in Kane county. Alot of birds in the air, hope to get a limit. 5 a day, sounds like it'll be a bluebird day.

Yeah, I'll be checking out around southern IL. We only limit 2 though. What kind of tactics do you use for this season? This will be my first time hunting early season.

I did'nt think you have the early nusance season in the south, I think it's only in the norteast zone. We hunt in picked sweetcorn, and oats, it can be hard to get bird some years. This year there is alot of birds in the area. Your spread needs to be spead out more in this season, I've found, and they still seem to land out of the decoys somtimes.

Oh thats cool, kill the geese I thought it was only in the northeast zone. The cool thing is some of the young birds are so dumb that you can kill a limit in no time. Three of two come barreling in and they don't have a clue. Make sure you have a guy up wind to take the birds that peal off early, it will be to your advantage.
