RE: Does anyone in Indiana hunt?

I hunt in Indiana...I'm a full time student at Purdue University in Lafayette...It is HARD to find property...I have spent over 15 hours knocking on doors so far this year and am still empty handed for turkey season...Its hard since I dont have the money to lease or anything...What are you looking to hunt for?

RE: Does anyone in Indiana hunt?

I live in NE Indiana. Private hunting ground is getting very hard to come by. Either someone else hunts it, or the land owners have liability issues. Even with a sign waiver people are hesitant to let others on their land. There is some state ground open to the public but is likely crowded. I am fortunate enough to have a good friend with 80 acres who lets me hunt all seasons. Until last year I could only get on during ML deer season. Now I have exclusive rights since the other guys didn't set uo on opening day of archery, shotgun etc. My buddy said I was the only one who showed up opening day so everyone else was done. Me and my buddie are now going to build a permanent elevated tower blind in his woods. He may even run power to it since he's an electrician and already has the materials to fo it. Can't wait!!!!
