Illinois bucks are dropping bone!
 

Just last night I saw 5 bucks together. All had full racks. This afternoon I went out to take stands down and found two sides from two of those same bucks. Fresh blood on the bases.

I have been checking in my area northwest of chicago and only found a small fork antler possibly from last year seeing that it was already partially eaten and whiteish in color.

found my first while coon hunting, very fresh with blood covering the base and even a drop of blood in the snow! probably gonna start looking hard in a week or two!

Yes it was this year. there was still a small amount of blood at the base.

My girlfriend found this skull on her first ever shed hunt with me last weekend in northern Illinois. Took her 15 minutes.

i dont think this is different than any other year. There are always folks finding sheds this early, most of which will be dropping in a couple weeks yet.

Found yesterday. First complete set of the season. Found 1/2 mile apart. Right was in a bed, left was on a trail to a feeding area.

The picture is from my camera phone...sorry for its poor quality. I will get a better picture of all of them when shed season winds down.

Found a 62 inch shed this past weekend! Squirrels had already started to nibble on it. Has an 8inch base!!! My third shed of the year in Adams Co. IL...

Just a reminder to make multiple trips to your shed hunting area even if you looked already. I'm still seeing deer with both sides. Saw an absolute monster with 5 does yesterday evening. I guess the first real cold snap, then warmer weather triggered a drop earlier this month. Alot of bucks still have horn, but alot have dropped. Keep looking and good luck!

I found a half to small six Saturday and a last year half to a 8 Sunday.

My Dad took a drive around our farm this weekend, saw 2 nice 8pts he said, both had full racks. There are still some out there to be found! Good luck guys!

I found a nice shed from a ten guessing together the deer will score mid 140s. I also found a dead 7 pointer would have been a crazy looking next year.

I went out yesterday and didn't find anything in 5 hours of walking. Maybe I'm missing them, but the areas full of bucks.

Well, I'm up to 9 sheds so far this year. 7 of them have come off of one farm (200 acres).

Found one thatfell from apotential150 class. Found 3 more that likely came from bucks around the 110's-120's. Also found my first matching set ever! Gonna give it another try this week after taking a week off for vacation. Keep looking they're still out there!

Found the first 1 today. Havent been in the woods yet. Just glassing our corn and wheat fields. Not a monster but I treasure everyone I find.

went out the other day and found just a couple last years sheds and a couple dead bucks from EHD i believe one was a 13 point and a guy down the road found a 19 point
