RE: deer count

According to the Missouri Department of Conservation web site the total number of deer harvested in the November firearms season was 214,494. This is a 9% decrease from 2006 when 235,409 were harvested, making the total decrease at 20,915. 2007 was still the 4th largest deer harvest in state history.

The web site also showed up to date harvest information which they state is updated 2-3 times every hour. The current total for the year is 296,714 (119,761 antlered deer, 40,655 button bucks, 136,298 does). As for the blue tongue I have not heard any reports of this.
