Indiana Hunters- How bout this new law?

The new rifle cartridge law in indiana reads

"Rifles with pistol cartridges that fire a bullet of .357-inch diameter or larger; have a minimum case length of 1.16 inches; and have a maximum case length of 1.625 inches are legal to use only during the deer firearms season. Some cartridges legal for deer hunting include the 357 mag., 38-40 win, 41 special, 44 mag., 44 special, 44-40 win, 45 colt, 454 casull, 475 linebaugh, 480 ruger, 50 action express, and 500 S&W" page 16 of the 2007-2008 Indiana Hunting and Trapping Guide

I want some honest opinions on this new addition. As I've said in other posts, I didn't even buy my Puma M92 357 mag for deer hunting originally but for CAS. Now that I have it though and the new law is in place I'm thinking about using it for a brush gun for when I'm not using my .50 cal ML. I figure357 willbe a good bet out to about 80 to 100 yards. I talked to a freind who is a dealer in Madison and he's been selling alot .44 mags but is hunting with a 500 S&W. What do yall think about this law change

Either the Mathews or the Knight. I don't even bother using a 12ga anymore.
