Hot weather corn field tactics

My problem:
Never hunted corn fields early, always hunted in Nov. with corn harvested.
99% of the corn is not harvested.
It's Dang hot and this is the only time off until Nov 9th.
I've never set foot on property. I leased it on a buddy's recommendation.
There is water and good oaks on the property.

Any advise on how to hunt this week-end?

Do I gravitate to the corn that is harvested, forget the corn and hunt the oaks or water crossings, or just scout and hang stands for Nov.?

I would look for some good sign like rubs between the corn and the oaks and hopefully this ambush site would at/near/over water.

Let us know how it goes would ya?

Also most corn is being harvested now. By the time you get there, the corn could be down. Then watch the field edges as they scavenge the fields.

I think the oak mast is falling now. Find a tree with lots of sign and set up. They may be staging there before hitting the corn in the evenings.

The deer will bed in corn fields when it's hot. There is a big temperature difference in a corn field at ground level. Watch the edge of the field to the timber is probably your best bet. Good luck

Returned from my hunt in the sunny mid west last night. Sure hope yall get a temp break this week.
Most corn in surrounding farms was out. Our beans and corn was still in.
It was 92 degrees!
Acorns were everywhere, couple of white oaks dropping.
I hunted a water hole 30 yds off a corn field 1 morning and 1 night and white oaks 1 night.
Nothing came to the water, but I did pass ona young 9 point eating acorns heading to the fields at dusk.
I got a lot of scouting done. We saw 3 young bucks, one 3 1/2 yr old 8 pt. 1 booner.
We are very excited about our return trip in Nov. This had to be the worst possible week to hunt (hot, lots of food and no reason for the deer to move), and we still saw a great shooter.

I would hunt next to the water in the mornin and Evening and go to the oaks in the day for when they come out of the corn in the day.
