Using a decoy in Wisconsin

I will be in Wisconsin hunting Oct 24-28...I have a decoy and was thinking of bringing it. I have only rifle hunted wisconsin and none of my family up there has ever used a decoy. Was just curious to hear anybodys thoughts on this sort of tactic for this part of the year. Any opinions would be appreciated...thanks

Pretty close to when the bucks start chasing each other. A buck decoy would work best in my opinion. However I prefer not using decoys, as ive had it spook too many deer.

Buck or doe deke...................the doe will probably spook more deer.........buck deke will work well in conjunction with rattling and calling.......as stated before the chase phase (bucks cruising for DOES)will just be starting that week and a buck deke will bring in any aggressive bucks looking to fight.

I have succesfully used mine as a feeding buck. I use a small 6 pt. rack from a previous deer. I only use it though when I am hunting a wide open area such as soy, cut corn or wheat field. It will bring deer from hundreds of yards away using a weak tending grunt and some bleats.
