Iowa hunting info
 

I want to hunt in Iowa this coming fall for whitetail. If anyone has any has any info on how to abtain permission to hunt private farms or even state property, or any thing else that might be of any use for me I would be very happy Thank you.Jim

The first thing you're going to have to do is get drawn for a nonresident deer tag. That's no easy matter. I live in southern Iowa and can tell you that 1 out of 10 nonresident hunters get drawn. Go to the Iowa DNR website and follow the instructions on applying for a nonresident license. Then if you get drawn, post back on here and we'll help you find some ground to hunt. Good luck.
