Using a tailwagger in Illinois

Is it legal to use a tail wagger on a decoy in Illinois? For those that don't know, it is a battery operated device that moves a fake tail that is placed on the rear of a decoy. I thought that any electronic device used to aidin deer hunting was illegal.

If you can't use a electronic device to move the tail, then get yourself some fishing line, tied to the tail and have the other end tied to your stand or tree, and just tug on it, simple, easy, and cheaper

I've seen guys use a white feather taped to the tail as well. Deer don't know the diffence as it blows back and forth in the breeze.

Illinois does not prohibit use of mechanical deer decoys (ie. tailwagger) or electronic deer calls. ( via IDNR FAQ in 2007 Hunting Regs). Good question though, I'm using them to, and didn't even think of it till now.
