RE: Nebraska Hunters?

If you are going for turkeys do not hire an outfitter. There turkeys everywhere in the western half of the state. Start around North Platte and anywhere from an hour east of there and then go west north and south. Landowner permission is easy to get as they consider turkeys a pest to the cattle operations. Pick a county get a plat book and just go. Drive around find some good looking ground or spot some birds. Give the landowner a call or go to his place and you are 80% chance of being let in. The bird numbers out there are ridiculous. Me and another guy went out there last year and killed 5 birds in 2 days. It was some of the best turkey hunting I could ever of dreamed about.
