Billions of these little things are gonna, eat, make some racket and get busy all at the same time. I am glad that they are not anticipated to be a problem here in MN.

They won't eat at this stage, but the racket and gettin busy will go on for about a month.:D

will the fishing really be that great if the fish gorge themselves on all these bugs and have nearly bursting bellies? I remember we were in canada a few years ago and there was some sort of hatch on the lake just before we got there and the fishing was only sub-par. just my $0.02

Do you think I need a special permit here in Illinois? What is the bag limit? 1,000/day? 10,000/day?

Also if anyone could help meout with how to field dress them it would be much appreciated.

The last time these little suckers came out, I couldn't get thelargemouths off my line fast enough! No doubt about it, you will catch fish BIG TIME when these bugs come out!!!!!
