How is the hunting in this area? I have 3 english setters and hope to find good upland hunting. Is the waterfoul hunting good? I have a 18' lund alaskan, will this be good out in WI?

If you go north west about a hour near antigo its great hunting.
On a side note you best be rooting for the packers. :D

Congrats on the move! Best walleye fishery in the country in your backyard on the Fox River in DePere. It actually just opened up enough to get a boat in, and the fishing is going to be phenomenal for another 2 months. Hunting is very good too without a big trip.

Its a great town to live in, ive been here my whole life, and cant imagine living anywhere else. im not much into waterfowl hunting, so i cant help ya out there, just thought id welcome u to the area

Thanks for response! it's always hard moving to new place and finding out about hunting. I love to hunt and be outside, it looks like there is lots of land to hunt. Do any of you guys hunt bird? On another note, what is a good town do buy a house in not more than 30 mins from the CG Sta in Green Bay? Do any of you have bird dogs? what breed?

Is it true that you can bait deer in WI? Do you guys hunt woodcock? Is the Goose hunting any good? Do you guys bear hunt, I have shot 2 with my bow in ME.

As far as the baiting goes check with the local area rules but in most area's it is allowed . As far as waterfowl go you will be about 60 miles from a stop over that has as many as 300,000 honkers at times , in fact at the complex that I live we have about 150 year round . Welcome to Wisconsin.
