RE: Sheds found March 1st in Illinois
Shootem, if it makes you feel any better, I walked for 5 hours last sunday and didn't find a single shed until I was 50 yards from my truck and about to leave! They're out there...go get'em!!!

RE: Sheds found March 1st in Illinois
Since I became an avid shed hunter, within the last 5 years I probably have found close to 50-60 sheds. Of all the sheds, Maybe 10-15 were found in the actual woods. the majority have always been winter food sources. Wing blown corn fields that never got picked or winter wheat fields or clover fields. The ones found in the timber were always found in bedding areas. Specifically Honey suckle thickets are a favorite or stands of pine thickets.
