Wisconsin CWD Test Results

Thank you for your interest in the chronic wasting disease surveillance effort. This site allows you to track the test results of the approximately 50,000 deer that will be tested around the state for chronic wasting disease.

By clicking on a link below, you will be able to navigate the CWD test result database. The database will be updated every Friday as new test results are received by the Department of Natural Resources, from the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and other labs. If you do not see a result for a deer, county, or deer management zone that you are looking for, please be patient. We do not expect lab results to be complete until March 2003 at the earliest.

CWD Testing Results for Individual Deer

This application allows you to look up the status and results for individual deer that you volunteered to be tested for CWD by DNR.

Please enter at least one of the following:

The number printed on the CWD Sampling barcode tag, and attached to the deer carcass

Your DNR customer number from your license or 2002 deer hunting back tag

The permit number for deer taken under landowner permits in the Eradication zone
