OK Missouri Hunter's Opening Weekend
 

Ok ladies and gents, opening weekend for rifle season is upon us. So let's think safety. Anyone want to leave some pics from opening weekend would be great. Where does everyone hunt? I hunt in Ste. Genevieve and been seeing alot of deer. Me and my boy(10) are hoping for a good hunt. This is so much fun to be with him at this age it'll be sad when he's old enough to get on his own. The quality time you spend with them and to teach them what you know is never forgotten. Good Luck to everyone!!

I hunt in Pike County, MO and I saw some pretty good movement this last weekend while bowhunting. I am definitely waiting for first light on Saturday.

I have been hunting in Maries County, seeing lots of scrapes and deer. Opening day looks like it might be wet. Good luck everyone.

I hunt in Adair and Schyler counties in Northeast Missouri. Going back up Tuesday the 7 th for a few more days of bow hunting and then rifle season on Saturday. We have been seeing so beauts. Sooooo who knows we may get lucky.

Laclede co. on family farm.
Lots of sign this year. We usually take a 140+ deer every year, maybe bigger this year. crossing fingers.

Johnson cty, just south of Whiteman AFB, will be out with my son(12) in the morning & hope to help him get his 2nd deer. My dad will be down on sun, to hunt with me thru the week. Good luck to all, and be safe!

Evening everyone, hunted saturday with no like for the boy. I went out Sunday and got a doe withmy bonus tag. I told my son(10) that his cousin seen two nice bucks and let them both go with the hopes of seeing a bigger one than he's got on his wall. That perked him up for next weekend. Safe hunting everyone hope to here from you all....

Seems like the rut kicked in hard this weekend. Lots of bucks chasing them doe trails. Shot my doe Sunday morning and my 8pt not less than 5 minutes after her and he followed her exact trail in with his nose to the ground. Not bad to have 2 laying together within 40 yards of each other.;)

I tagged out yesterday morning, had a doe come running in with a nice sized 6 point right on her heels. I managage to get him stopped after the 3rd loud mouthgrunt, settled the cross hairs on his left shoulder and let her rip. He went about 20 yards and piled up down in my deep creek in the middle of the draw. Took about 10 seconds from the time I first saw him to the time he piled up. What a rush! So their chassing real hard right now. We got the first 2 processed today, and will do the buck in the morning. Good luck to all!:D

I waspretty lucky on opening day with lots of activity. I shot a nice 10 point about 8 in the morning (would score about 125 ), shot a yote at noon at 240 yards, then dropped a big doe at 4at 253 yards. Not a bad opening day. We saw lots of deer chasing all weekend. One of the guys hunting with me got a nice 8 too.

Gasconade County, Hermann. We are in the antler restricted zone the past few years and passed on 6 pointers which was hard. Well saturday they were all 10 and 8. I got to see a 10 and 8 lock horns and go at it, unfortunately it was off our property.I hope to see him next weekend. The moon on saturday night didn't help much on Sunday.

Not bad. Saw a bunch of activity. Missed a nice buck at about 235 yds :(yesterday morning. Pretty disappointed abou that. We're in Warren county outside of Marthasville.

I had a nice weekend. I took a decent 8 point saturday morning. Then I took a doe monday evening. I have a picture of the doe....soon as I get the 8 point figured out, I'll post it.
