Sweet Weather Forecast
 

Forecast calling for a big cold front to blow through the midwest thursday. May be early season, but be ready. Two years ago on October 17th this happened and even in high winds the bucks came out of the woodwork. Saw several and killed a P&Y that day. I will be on stand th/fri for sure.

i thought the same thing when i saw it! and in the woods for me fri, sat, and sun!!...i am sure excited, hunting time is in short supply for myself this fall but i take what i can get.

I keep checking the forecast hoping for a NW wind for this stand I want to hunt. No dice, west then southwest. th/fri/sat still look the best.

That's great news. I've been out the last couple nights, and with the warm weather, there seems to have been absolutley no catalyst to get the big boys moving.

i love the cold weather and know the deer do too. with the way the moon has been the past couple of nights, along with the cold front that is moving into IL. i think this weekend will be a good one. hopefully like you said the bucks will come out of the woodwork!

Well it looks like the winds will be quite severe, 25 mph. I think I'll hunt anyway though. The stand I want to try is in a slight depression, and I killed a P&Y two years ago with 20 mph winds.
