I just found out that we lost our hunting land to outfitters in Richland county Illinois. Unfortunately, my son was looking forward to his first deer hunt and has a richland county youth antlerless tag for Oct. 7 and 8th. He has worked very hard toward this hunt (hunter safety course, lots of shooting, good grades etc..) and I'll be heartbroken if I have to tell him we can't go.
I need to find a place for him to hunt asap.
I am an avid bowhunter and will take precautions not to spook or educate non target animals and I will be willing to pay a reasonable amount to hunt on one or both days.

442deer, sorry to hear of that. Its becoming an increasing problem thats not limited to western Illinois these days. Good luck to your son for in special youth hunt.

Words (or beer) alone cannot express how grateful we are to Lanse.
It seems like I need to sell my fist born to buy hunting land in Illinois....but that seems sorta counter productive.
