Lost a spot today
Just got a call from a friend, his family now rents out the property and barn to some guy. I'm not sure if he even hunts or not. I guess it happened a few months ago and he didn't know. Right as I was about to say "Well, maybe I can talk to him?" he said, "Sorry about this, I will let you know if anything changes". I figured good enough and thanked him. Still have a few spots left though. It was 50 acres in Mchenry County :(

RE: Lost a spot today
Maybe the guy will let you lease it for hunting season?

I'm not going to press it, I think. His family is a little strange, I'm sure this guy is even stranger[&:]

If you like the spot that much, it's worth a shot. If not, give me the guy's # and I'd be happy to lease it.;)

RE: Lost a spot today
It always sucks to lose out on a good spot.

You might check on this. In Illinois, just renting or sharecropping farmland does not necessarily give the renter the hunting rights.
