you can hunt deer every day of the week during archery season, but archery season is closed during shotgun season.

bowhunting is closed to the public on public lands whenever there is a fire arms season in place (shotgun, handgun, BP/muzzle).

Sundays are certainly open! I've never really understood the rationale behind not allowing sunday hunting..maybe someone can enlighten me?

That's not entirely true... some public lands do not allow shotgun hunting, so you can bowhunt them during the gun seasons, but must wear the orange required by gun hunters.

Thats true some are open during shotgun season and if it borders good private ground you may have a deer honey hole on your hands i know i do......

I think...Lemme check, but.......

In Lake and Cook county, you can bow hunt during the whole season regardless if it's gun season or not. You aren't allowed to hunt with a gun in either county. So, that kinda answers part of your question :)
