RE: not one IA pheasant post?

Bird numbers have diffinitly improved. I have focused on deer hunting this year however have hunted pheasent in central Iowa in NE Iowa. The numbers are diffintly better in Central Iowa, and seem to be down in NE Iowa.

I was told there was a number of heavy rains in NE Iowa in the spring.

Any hunters fron the NE part of the state the can varify this. I used to see many birds in that area, only two lonesome roosters this year.

While hunting in the Marshaltown area I see pheasents on a daily basis. Have taken some time to harvest a few of them.

Dad and I have been to Marshall Town (Luarel - Grinell)every year for the last 10 years or so for the opener and usually fill our limit. missed opening weekend this year but went up for the second. Three days = Three birds.
Birds wre very scarce in that part of the state!
