staying warm deer hunting missour rifle season
What clothes do you guyz wear during rifle season?
I've been looking through the Cabelas catalog and their hunting stuff is EXPENSIVE. I know it gets cold sitting in a treestand but im not wnating to spend an arm and a leg to stay warm. Any suggestions?

I don't understand why you sit in a stand when you can hunt with a rifle. The deer around here stop and look at you if you are a 100 yards away. My uncle used to go to Mo. and take my 3 cousins every year. They always came back by noon the next day with 4 deer. That was easy pickens compared to to dozen they would get here with bows and shotguns. But anyhow in answer to your question, get some waterfowl clothing if you are going to sit. Dress in layers but not cotton. Cotton holds in moisture and will freeze you when you quit moving.
