Pheasant Hunt Club in South East WI - Kenosha?

Happy Holidays and more importantly Happy Hunting

I live about 15 minutes south of the WI/IL border a few minutes off of 94 and am looking for a relatively close place to keep hunting into the winter months. I am looking for a pheasant hunt club within say an hour of me. The only thing is I am looking for a club that allows non-member walk-ons for slightly higher prices. I would love to be able to go out every weekend, but I have two youngskids and it is hard for me to get out and use up the amount of birds that would make a full membership reasonable. If anyone knows of any hunt clubs in the area thatallows non-member hunts, I would really appreaciate if you could let me know.

Thanks

October 15 (noon) to December 31...I don't know how hunting clubs work but the public land that down there is closed!

Thanks for the reply. I know public land is closed, that is why I need a club to keep hunting for the next three months. There are some nice clubs far up north that are open to the public, but I can't be driving three hours every other weekend or so. Just hoping to find one somewhat close.

Thanks again

Check with Richmond Hunting Club in Richmond, IL straight down 173 from I94 about 20-25 minutes.
I bet they are expensive though. In april they have a special turkey hunt also. I only eat breakfast
there. If you like I can ask my sister n law? She cooks there.

Hey Peak, thanks for the reply.

Yes, Richmond is way expensive - my wife would kill me if she found out I paid that much to go hunting. It is hard enough in the first place because I am spoiled with having private land for dove, duck and goose. ButI love hunting pheasant, and I try and get out on state hunting areas which are a good alternative. But they close beginning of January, and if I know there is a place to keep hunting until March, then I will pay extra for it. And I don't want to be misunderstood - I am not saying hunt clubs are a rip off or anything. They have to make a little bit for their work and land, but I have to try and keepmy cost down.

Thanks again

You can try checking out http://www.cooncreekhuntclub.com

We're 1/4 the yearly cost of Richmond ($600 as opposed to $1000 + $200/month). The drive is probably a bit further but if you want to come out and check the club out sometime give us a call. 847-659-8200

I belong to Blonhaven by Janesville.Check out web sight.Great fields they put a lot of work into planting and field design. The birds are excellent all fields are fenced to keep dog from straying.Very fair price for all the work they do and land use I get.You can do a hunt to try the club and put that towards membership.Talk to Jeff.
