RE: How'd WI hunters do this season?
I got two ten pointers and an 8 point in Wisconsin, and a nice 8 point in Iowa. Going up to Buffalo county for a last chance on my regular Wisconsin bow tag right after Xmass then down to Kansas for a few days. So it ain't over till the fat buck drops.
Public land shot gun buck 2 weeks ago (CWD zone)
My son Jame's shot this buck while I filmed him on Public land in S.E. Wisc.
Here is the 8 point I arrowed in Iowa.
Here is the ten pointer I shot during the T-Zone hunt, I got the doe to earn this buck 5 minutes before he came out.
Here is the 10 pointer I arrowed on public land Oct 5th.

Nice deer.
But how does thet-zone hunt operate that enables one to take a buck during it? Am I missing something in the regs?
This is what I read.
** Note: During the Oct. 27 – 30 and Dec. 8 – 11 Antlerless only hunts in Zone T units, only antlerless deer may be harvested with a gun orbow. An antlerless deer is any deer that does not have any antler of 3 or more inches in length.

I only got to hunt one day last year and wound up with a doe. It was about the time buck were bedded down with thier does so I am happy with how it went. Note: I will be hunting alot more than one day this season.
