I don't know the story but that looks like a leaf rake stuck on the head of a deer! What a nice rack!!

Hate to tell you but that's not the Illinois roadkill deer. Here's a picture of it and I thing it net scored down in the 170's because of the right forked G2. I also have the story of it but it's in a book at home.

I wasnt totally sure....but on the whitetails.com site....it did list this deer as being killed by an automobile in Illinois.....however...on a later page on whitetails.com.......i found one listed with the nickname of Illinois Roadkill Buck......here is a pic of that one.....any info on either would be great.

Makes no difference which one it is, if they were both road kill they dont get put in the books.

they do get put into the books a guy last yr outside of boston found a dead deer he taged it and its in the books as the mass buck

THE FIRST PIC LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE 2ND AND 3RD DEER IMO. MAYBE I AM READING WRONG BUT IT LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE THOUGHT THEY WERE THE SAME BUCK:eek:

if im not mistaken..the above is the worlds largest whitetail scored EVER...right? it must look pretty impressive in person because it looks to me like there've been bigger.
