Illinois 2nd rut
 

Does anyone know about if and when the 2nd rut will take place in Illinois? Thinking about making another long trip up there before the bowseason closes. I'll be going to Edgar County if that means anything. Thanks for any help

I hunted this afternoon in Montgomery county and watched 4 different buck chase the same doe from 3 till dark. Might have just been a freak deal but I think it's a little glimmer of the second rut. We saw great chasing activity the first week of November which would have been the primary rut. Now a month later the does that didn't get bred during that time frame should be coming back into estrous around now.
