Anyone hunt in the Ozarks??
 

Hello,
I llive in Northwest Missouri and have done all of my deer hunting in this area. I just bought some land near the Big Buffalo Creek hunting Park which is in Benton County near Truman lake and also A branch of the lake of the Ozarks. When taking a short walk through the land I scared up a 8-10 point buck and 4 other does. I was just wondering how the deer and turkey hunting has been in this area lately?

Im from central MO probably an hour or more away from where your talking about, the hunting slowed down a little after rifle season, but if youve got land that hasnt been hunted much it should be good. Congrats on buying the new place, you will enjoy it. Buy the way if you need does thinned on your places, let me know Im wanting to get in on a little anterless season hunting,lol. Ive heard that there are a lot of deer all around the Lake of the Ozarks area, and the Truman Lake area, but more around Truman.
