Default Central Indiana Bowhunters... I need some help

I am new to shooting a bow and would like to ask for some help if available. I have never shot a bow, but have been a gun nut for a long time, but wanted to get into bowhunting. I live just north of mooresville and was wondering if someone could possibly donate some of your free time to helping me set up my bow and giving me a quick lesson on shooting it. I would be able to meet somewhere, possibly outdoorsman sports shop? I have a bow but am lost with it. I am 30 years old, and need to pick up a new hobby to use up some of my free time.

Wish I had your problem of needing to use up excess free time!

I'm a klutz when it comes to setting up bows so I let someone who knows what they're doing do mine. Anderson has a great bowshop but even someplace like Gander Mtn can get yours tuned and draw length set right for you. Then it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice. I know of an indoor range near Anderson but am not aware of any on your side of town, that's not to say there aren't any. I'm just not aware of any. I shoot in my basement when my wife's not home!

Pine Hill Archery Club is out your direction between US36 and US40 east of Danville. I've never been there but I know they do 3D shoots. PM me and I can get you some contact info for the folks that run that place. They might know of other places or individuals around that side of town.

Another website worth checking out ishoosierhunting.com . It doesn't have near the traffic but has some good people with good info.

Welcome to the obsession!

I take pride in setting up everything on my bow..except for things that I need a bow press for. If you're willing to drive way up to Decatur sometime...some friends and I could have you hitting dead nuts in no time.
